Noah Schnapp, star of “Stranger Things” is a lifeguard

Lifeguards, it turns out you may have more in common with celebrities than you thought. While everyone was binge-watching Stranger Things Season 4, Noah Schnapp was busy being a lifeguard. He recently posted on Twitter about his lifeguarding experience (sounds like it was positive!) — read on for the full scoop.

Noah’s normal-ish life

Being a celebrity is hard work, and it’s certainly a wildly different life from anyone who is not in the public eye. Noah Schnapp has had a particularly interesting life because he started acting so young — 11 years old, to be exact. He’s grown a huge presence and following from fans, both in the tabloids and on social media.

That said, Noah has been committed to living a close-to-normal life. Knowing that lots of fame and money can really change a person, Noah’s mantra is to stay grounded by still being and feeling like a normal person.

Noah’s take on lifeguarding

With a net worth of $4 million, Noah is in no need of spare cash. But he’s a normal teenager who wants to have normal teenager hobbies, activities, and interests. This past summer, Noah decided to take a job as a lifeguard at his childhood sleepaway camp, Camp Hillard.

Here’s what he said about it: “It’s kind of a ‘just for fun thing. I’ve kind of grown up with a normal life and normal friends and stuff outside of Stranger Things, so it’s kind of kept me grounded.”

What’s next for Noah?

We’re not sure if full-time lifeguarding is in his future, but we do know that Noah is planning to attend the University of Pennsylvania in the fall. He’s still going to stick with being a “normal kid,” so he plans to eat at the dining hall, stay in dorms, the works.

Who knows? Maybe he’ll pick lifeguarding back up when he’s home for the summer. Either way, we love to see a celebrity lifeguard who is out there making a difference. Go Noah!
