2016 USLA SOUTH ATLANTIC LIFESAVING ASSOCIATION (SALA) REGIONAL COMPETITION VIDEO

The 2016 SALA Regional Lifeguard Competition took place July 13 – 14th in Folly Beach, South Carolina. The turnout was great and everyone was very friendly. As soon as we arrived we saw that the beach was full of tents and competitors. People came from UNCW, Nags Head, Cape Fear, Hilton Head, Jacksonville, and lots of other places to compete. The USLA officials were very helpful and fair with all the competitors.

The weather on the first day couldn’t have been better. Luckily, on the second day, the rain held off long enough for the final competitions to take place. Everybody loved the bags and a lot of people wanted more. It was very interesting to watch the events. The different races in the water and on the sand showed the competitors true strengths in being lifeguards. All were very impressive. It was a very successful two days of events.╚
